Fish Tail Wrap

As my daughter is getting older she wants more grown up styles here is one that turned out really cute.
I started with making her far lateral part.  Then I made a fish tail braid on the side of her head with the least amount of hair.  As you can see below it is french fish tailed (if that is what you call it)  then I finished fish tail braiding all the way to the end of her hair.  ***you need to braid the hair long enough that it reaches the other side of her head.
Once the braid is finished secure it with an elastic.
Drape the braid across the back of her head and end it above her opposite ear.  Pull the top hair up and secure with bobbie pins the end of the fish tail braid.  As shown below.  Pull the top hair down over to hide the elastic and bobbie pins.  ***if you cross the bobbie pins they stay in much better***

We then swooped the front top of her hair and added a flower over the top to ensure the bobbie pins were hidden.

Low French Braid to Side Pony

This one is very similar to the rolling into a side ponytail.
I started a french braid just above her right ear.
I continued to french braid along the back of her head until it reached the right hair.
Then I secured it with an elastic.
I took a small amount of hair and wrapped around the elastic. I secure that small amount of hair with a small bobbie pin.
Then we added a flower for our accessory.

Felt Flower with Ringlets

We have a website that we just love that is for mom's of all walks of life.  The website http://www.mom-stuff.com/ just posted how to make your own felt flowers this is one of them.
The link to the flowers is http://www.mom-stuff.com/public/272.cfm
All I did for this cute simple style was used the ringlet curling iron shown below and made loose curls then we put the barrette in her hair.

Wrap Around To Side Ponytail

We started with a headband with a bow on it. To keep the headband in I decided to pull a puffy bang over the top of the headband. I secured the bangs back with small bobbie pins

Next make a wrap around the bottom of her hair start by rolling a small amount of hair and then adding small sections of hair. Secure with an elastic

Take a small piece of hair and wrap around the ponytail.

We then added a flower for fun.

Triangle Part to Bun

Make triangle parts all the way around the front of her head. The picture belows shows how this is done.

Take all the triangle parts and pull the ends into one ponytail.
Make small hairs with the hair in the ponytail and twist them tight as shown below. Use the twisted hair to make a messy bun.

This picture shows how the hair looks once it is twisted.

We then added a flower to the side of her bun. The picture below shows what it looks like from the top of her head.

1st Day of School Hair

As I am sure you can tell we now have bangs so we did a simple first day of school hairstyle.
She got all new bows (these bows match her school outfits perfectly. The bow for this outfit had the same beads that are on the neck of this dress.) She was determined to wear the matching bow this morning so we did a simple small braid on each side of her head. Then I put them together with an elastic and put the bow on.
Simple cute and she looked beautiful for her first day of school.

If anyone is interested the bows are from the website www.mom-stuff.com . All of her bows were custom made to match all of her new school clothes.

French Braid into Flower Bun

Create 2 french braids along each side of her head. Leaving a small section in the middle. See picture below.

Take the middle section of hair and secure in an elastic.

Pull all the braids and middle section of hair into a ponytail.

Make a bun and use the ends of the braids to create a flower look.

Corn Rolls into Flower

Start by parting the hair. I always part the hair I am working with and put the extra in a ponytail out of the way.

To make a corn roll you have a couple of options rolling the hair like a french braid taking one piece of hair and rolling it around the other then keep picking up hair as you go. OR below shows taking the section of hair and pulling it out straight then start rolling in one direction this also makes a roll in the hair.

Here we have 2 rolls attached together with an elastic.

You can put the parts in any direction you want today we put 2 up each side and 1 coming from the middle.

I don't have a good picture of this but to make the flower. Take a small amount of hair and put a lose twist in it. Hold it in a loop until all the strands of hair have a loop. Then put an elastic around the base of the hair you are holding.

It looks like this when finished.
