Applying Loop Hair Extensions With Perfection. One of the newest and also the safest types of hair extensions that are being offered today are the loop hair extensions. Application for these extensions is easy to do from the comfort of your home. Just follow these steps for successful application of the loop extensions. The first step involved in applying loop hair extensions is to create sections in your hair starting in the back and using a comb. Make sure that when creating the parts or sections that you are making a clean line. Take the rest of your hair and clip it back where it is out of the way of where you will be working.
Next, take a small section of your hair, ideally you want to grab a section that is equal to the amount of hair in the loop strand you will be adding, then twist the hair so that it is easier for you to handle. Then pick up a Loop strand and pull your natural hair through the white loop. Now you are going to be working close to your scalp and you're going to pull the loop tab from the bottom. You will keep pulling until you have all your hair threaded through the micro bead. At this point the white loop should be all the way freed from the micro bead. It will be in your best interest to save these in the event that you will later need them for any reapplication.
Once that has been completed you are going to move the extension to your scalp. But make sure that you give yourself enough room to have a little swing going on. Then you will need to hold the hair of the extension down and using a pair of pliers you are going to clamp down on the micro bead. Take care that your micro bead is lying flat against your head as well.
Now you are ready to complete the row and then unclip your hair. Then make your next section above the section you just completed. Work this row in the same way as the last one. Note that you should stay in a little bit all the way around your head. This will leave you with plenty of your natural hair in order to cover your beads up if you want to wear your hair pulled up. And just like that you have applied loop hair extensions. 5* Beauty: Party Hairstyles for Holiday 2011
The holiday season is full of parties, meaning you need to dress up more than usual. If you want to take your do from drab to fab, check out these great hairstyles that are easy to create and will add extra sparkle to any outfit!
The French Braid Headband.
Step 1: Start with damp hair (either towel-dried or misted) and use a wide-tooth comb to detangle the hair.
Step 2: Use a fine-tooth comb to draw a horizontal line across the crown from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear. From the line, comb the hair forward to the face. Pull the hair in back of the line into a ponytail holder or jaw clip so it stays out of your way.
Step 3: Choose which ear you want the braid to start from. Tilt the head so the ear you've chosen is facing up toward the ceiling. With the person's ear tilted up, begin making the braided headband using the hair in front of the part. French-braid tightly across the crown and down to the other side, gathering small sections from above the part.
Step 4: Once you've reached the other ear, secure the braid with a ponytail holder. Remove the ponytail holder or jaw clip used in Step 2 and style as you like.
The Ballerina Chignon.
Step 1: Starting with dry hair, comb or brush the hair to smooth and detangle it. Let hair fall where it naturally parts.
Step 2: Using a fine-tooth comb, section top front portion of hair horizontally, from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear. Pull the lower section of hair back into a ponytail and secure with a ponytail holder.
Step 3: Comb the front section straight back neatly and use hairpins to pin the hair into the ponytail base.
Step 4: Split the ponytail in half horizontally. Comb the top section up and roll it up into a loop. Using 2 or 3, pin the ends to the base of the ponytail.
Step 5: Comb the lower section of hair down. Rolling it under, make a loop. Use hairpins to pin the ends to the base of the ponytail.
Step 6: Using several hairpin, stretch out the loops of hair all around the ponytail base, so the loops each form a semicircle?aone on the top and one on the bottom. If you wish, add small sparkly or pearl beads to hairpins and crown the top of the chignon.
